About UK Time
UK Time is a free reference for the current time in the United Kingdom. The whole UK shares one time zone, Greenwich Mean Time in winter and British Summer Time in summer, which makes the useful questions less about where you are in the UK and more about how UK time compares with the rest of the world, and when the clocks change.
Every time shown on this site is computed from the IANA time zone database, the same open dataset used by browsers, phones and servers worldwide to track time zones and daylight saving rules. We do not keep our own offset tables, so the numbers stay accurate through every clock change without manual updates.
Alongside the reference pages there are free browser tools: an alarm clock, timers, a stopwatch, a countdown, a fullscreen clock, a time zone converter and a meeting planner. They work in your browser with no account or download.
See our methodology page for more detail on how times and clock change dates are calculated.
